I can not believe that it is October! The summer flew by and was filled with adventure for the Thomas gang. We took a fun family trip to Indian Beach, NC where the twins had a blast. Virginia was like a fish and Reid rearranged sand all week. A trip to Georgia to visit family came next. The twins went to "Camp Nana and Granddaddy" while Chris and I flew away to paradise for a A WEEK by ourselves!! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the completion of his training and getting his first official job out of fellowship. We are so proud of him. Needless to say, it was a dreamy week in Jamaica for us both. Just two days upon returning from our Caribbean adventure, Chris left for San Francisco to run a half marathon! He had a weekend all to himself in the big city and ran the race in record time (for himself that is!). In early August, I was blessed to be able to visit the Boyte family in NYC. As many of you know, their sweet daughter Lillie, went home to Jesus on August 28 after fighting a 10 month battle with Neuroblastoma ( a rare childhood aggressive cancer). Michelle and Cory (mom & dad) needed some helping hands with new baby Eva and big sister Hannah. I visited with them at the Ronald McDonald House and was in awe of the faith of this family and so many others. What a gift it was for me to have that time with them. The summer winded down quickly and we look back at all of our adventures with a big smile on our faces! More to come.......
